Allred in a tie for seventh at PGA Q School
HUMBLE, Texas — Jason Allred remained in the top 10 in second-stage play of PGA Tour Q School Thursday, shooting a 2-over-par 74 in the third round on the Redstone Golf Club Member's Course.
Allred, a Scottsdale, Ariz., resident who hails from Ashland, is tied for seventh entering today's final round with a total of 209, seven strokes under par and seven shots behind leader Kevin Kisner.
Allred is tied with three other players.
The top 20 players and ties advance to Q School's six-round final stage, which begins at the end of the month.
Allred, who was tied for third entering Day 3 and played in the final group, had four bogeys and two birdies.
He tees off today at 9:45 a.m. Eastern on the first tee. His playing partners will be Kent Jones and Doug Barron.
