WHITE CITY — A popular multiple-day race series is returning to Southern Oregon Speedway.
Speedweek Northwest begins at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon on Friday and ends at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., on July 21.
The eight-race series — which takes place over a span of nine days — makes a stop in White City on Monday.
American Sprint Car Series Northwest Region racing will be featured.
Eight different drivers have won the series, which began 14 years ago. Steve Kent has secured four, Roger Crockett three, Brent Kaeding two and Bud Kaeding, Brad Furr, Shane Stewart, Jesse Hockett and defending titlist Kyle Larson one apiece.
General admission is $20 for those who are 13 and older. Seniors, veterans with identification and juniors (ages 6-12) are $15, children 5 and under are free and reserved seats are $25. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m.
