Central Point resident and NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Scotty Pollacheck recently partnered with Petrolhead Apparel.

The partnership will include advertising on Pollacheck's entry for this weekend's event at Route 66 Raceway near Joliet, Ill.

Pollacheck merchandise will also be available at a souvenir trailer on the midway, as well as at petrolheadapparel.com.

After a career-best sixth place finish last year, Pollacheck is off to a strong start in 2014. Through the first five events of the season, he has a runner-up, a semifinal and a quarterfinal finish. Pollacheck enters Joliet as the sixth-ranked rider in the Pro Stock Motorcycle class and sits 23 points behind his teammate, Matt Smith.

The Petrolhead Apparel line is the result of a partnership between Ben Carey and Bill Windam. Australian native Carey, the lead guitarist for the band Lifehouse, is a motorsports fan and California-based Windham is also heavily into drag racing and motorcycles.
