Oregon sees 217 new COVID-19 cases and four more deaths
Four more Oregonians died from COVID-19, while the state saw 217 more cases of the illness, the Oregon Health Authority reported Wednesday, pushing the state totals to 10,817 cases and 224 deaths.
Umatilla County saw the most cases with 43, an OHA news release said. The northeastern Oregon county, with a population of nearly 78,000, has had 834 cases of the disease and six deaths, OHA data show.
Jackson County saw five new cases Wednesday, bringing the local total to 157. Of those, 57 people were considered “infectious,” down from 65 infectious cases Monday.
