Jackson County confirms 9 new COVID-19 cases
The Oregon Health Authority reported 272 more cases of COVID-19 Monday, along with two more deaths from the disease, according to a news release.
Oregon has now seen a total 19,366 cases of the illness, with the death toll rising to 328.
Of the new cases, the most came out of Umatilla County, which saw 64. Multnomah County had the second most with 49, the release said.
Jackson County Public Health reported nine new cases of the illness, bringing the local total of confirmed and presumptive cases to 394. Of that amount, 129, or about 33%, are considered infectious, according to the agency’s website. There have been 29 local hospitalizations and one death, which was reported last week. On Monday, the county had tested 19,160 county residents, public health officials reported.
