Jackson County sees 20 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday
Jackson County Public Health officials reported 20 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday.
A previously reported case did not meet the Oregon Health Authority’s definition of a confirmed or presumptive case and it was removed from the county’s total. Another previously reported case was transferred to a new jurisdiction.
The changes plus the new cases bring the county’s total number of cases to 594.
The 20 cases reported Tuesday mark the second-highest daily total for the county. Jackson County reported a record 23 cases Friday.
Statewide, Oregon reported 237 new confirmed and presumptive cases Tuesday and nine new deaths.
The deaths occurred in Washington, Clackamas, Jefferson, Lincoln and Malheur counties among people who ranged in age from 63 to 97.
Oregon has had 23,676 cases reported so far and 397 deaths.
