Jackson County reports 18 new COVID-19 cases Thursday
Jackson County Public Health reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, pushing the local total to 853, with 168 people considered infectious. Three local deaths have been reported from the illness.
The west Medford ZIP code 97501 saw the most new cases of the disease last week, according to Jackson County data. Between Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, the county reported 33 cases in the ZIP code, raising the total there to 293.

Oregon reported 274 new cases and three more deaths from the disease Thursday, pushing the state’s total to 27,336 cases, with 470 deaths.
