Jackson County reports 20 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday
Jackson County Public Health reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, bringing the local total to 1,109.
The total includes two cases that were removed from the count after health officials determined the people did not have the illness, according to county health promotion program manager Tanya Phillips.
Of Jackson County’s total, 175 are considered infectious. Eighty-two people in Jackson County have been hospitalized, and five deaths have been recorded.
The Oregon Health Authority reported 382 new cases of the disease statewide, with two more deaths, pushing the case total to 31,865, with 539 deaths.
