State reports 557 new COVID-19 cases, another death
Oregon reported 557 new cases of COVID-19 and another death from the illness Monday, raising the statewide totals to 45,978 cases and 692 deaths.
Jackson County reported 17 new cases of the disease, bringing the local number of cases to 1,928. Of those, 303 people were considered infectious. There have been 130 hospitalizations and seven deaths from the disease in Jackson County.
A 90-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive for the disease Oct. 24 died at her home the following day, the Oregon Health Authority reported.
