23 new coronavirus cases, one death in Jackson County Sunday
Jackson County reported 23 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 and one death Sunday, bringing local totals to 7,737 cases with 105 fatalities. In Region 5, including Jackson and Josephine Counties, 24 patients are hospitalized with the virus.
Drive-through vaccination events are scheduled for Feb. 11, 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Jackson County Expo, for individuals who need the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and have proof of their first vaccination at the Expo.
The state reported 393 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases and four additional deaths Sunday, bringing statewide totals to 147,122 cases with 2,023 fatalities. Across the state, 230 patients are hospitalized with the virus and 53 are in intensive care. A total of 21,694 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered Friday and Saturday, raising vaccination totals to 554,145 complete doses.
