21 new cases reported Sunday in Jackson County
Jackson County reported 21 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 Sunday, raising local totals to 8,395 cases with 112 fatalities to date. A total of 24 patients in Jackson and Josephine Counties are hospitalized with the virus and three are in intensive care.
Residents age 65 and older are eligible for vaccines starting Monday.
The state reported 292 confirmed and presumptive positive cases Sunday, bringing statewide totals to 155,597 with 2,208 fatalities to date. A total of 134 patients are hospitalized with the virus in Oregon and 26 are in intensive care. The Oregon Health Authority reported 29,330 doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were administered over the weekend, raising cumulative vaccination totals to 973,022 first and second doses.
