22 new COVID-19 cases reported Sunday in county
Jackson County reported 22 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing local totals to 9,647 cases with 126 fatalities to date. The state reported 499 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases, raising statewide totals to 170,568 cases with 2,440 fatalities to date.
Average daily cases now stand at levels last seen in February. Hospitalizations from COVID-19 increased to 179, after plateauing recently. There are 46 patients in intensive care.
The Oregon Health Authority reported 33,381 doses of vaccines administered over the weekend, raising statewide vaccination totals to 2,257,721 complete doses of Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
