Jackson County at 10,783 cases
Local and state health officials recorded 44 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing Jackson County’s case count to 10,783.
The new Jackson County cases were among 660 new cases recorded across the state, according to an Oregon Health Authority release issued Tuesday.
Broken down by county, other new cases included 95 in Multnomah, 90 in Washington, 64 in Deschutes, 60 in Clackamas, 57 in Marion, 52 in Lane, 43 in Klamath, 27 in Umatilla, 22 in Linn, 17 in Yamhill, 14 in Douglas, 12 in Josephine, 10 in Benton and Crook counties, eight in Polk, five in Jefferson, four in Malheur and Lake counties, three in Clatsop, Morrow, Tillamook and Union, two in Columbia, Wasco and Wheeler counties and one each in Grant and Wallowa counties, according to the state.
The state recorded 16 new fatalities, but the patients’ locations were not available as of early Tuesday evening.
The new cases bring the state’s case log to 192,416, and the death toll to 2,549.
Jackson County Health and Human Services data show that the local death toll was unchanged as of Tuesday at 137 fatalities.
