Oregon reports three more COVID-19 deaths

The Oregon Health Authority reported three more deaths Monday from COVID-19, including a 91-year-old Jackson County woman who tested positive May 5 and died May 14 at Rogue Regional Medical Center. She had underlying conditions.

The agency also reported six new cases of the disease in Jackson County.

OHA reported 310 new positive cases in Oregon, raising the statewide totals to 195,882 cases and 2,590 fatalities since the pandemic started. A total of 342 patients are hospitalized with the virus, and 81 are in intensive care.

OHA launched a new dashboard to track the progress of individual counties on a statewide goal to vaccinate 65% of eligible residents, and show vaccine administration trends. As of Monday, Benton and Hood River counties had passed the goal at 67.1% and 66.2% respectively, with Jackson County at 47.6%.

A total of 23,929 new vaccine doses were administered Sunday, raising the total to 1,591,802 fully vaccinated people and 2,061,640 people who received at least one dose of a two-dose regimen.
