State reports 257 new cases of COVID-19

Jackson County reported seven new confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 Sunday, raising the local total to 11,234 cases with 143 fatalities since the pandemic started.

The state reported 257 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases and two deaths Sunday, bringing statewide totals to 201,260 cases with 2,668 fatalities to date. A total of 250 patients are hospitalized with the virus in Oregon and 60 are in intensive care.

The Oregon Health Authority reported 17,982 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered over the weekend, raising the state vaccine registry to 1,843,416 fully vaccinated people and 2,237,342 people who have received at least one dose.
