Three new COVID-19 deaths include Jackson County man
The state reported three new fatalities from COVID-19 Monday, including a 93-year-old man from Jackson County. He tested positive for the virus May 13 and died May 29 at Providence Medford Medical Center.
With 220 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases in Oregon reported Monday, a total of 201,475 cases have been documented in the state and 2,671 Oregon residents have died since the pandemic started. A total of 249 patients are hospitalized with the virus and 61 are in intensive care. Jackson County reported 17 new confirmed and presumptive positive cases, raising the local total to 11,251 cases with 144 fatalities to date.
The Oregon Health Authority reported 10,198 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered Sunday. A total of 1,850,566 people have completed a vaccine series and 2,240,922 have received at least one dose.
