Jackson County at 11,529 cases
State health officials recorded 289 new coronavirus cases, including 15 new cases in Jackson County.
The new numbers released Saturday from the Oregon Health Authority bring the statewide case count since the start of the pandemic to 206,578 and the local case count to 11,529.
Broken down by county, the latest COVID-19 cases include 36 in Multnomah, 32 in Clackamas, 34 in Marion, 22 in Linn, 20 in Washington, 16 in Deschutes, 15 each in Douglas and Lane counties, 13 in Josephine, 12 in Polk, seven in Columbia, six in Clatsop, five each in Benton, Curry and Wasco counties, four each in Gilliam, Jefferson, Malheur and Umatilla counties, three in Lincoln and Union, two in Crook, Grant and Yamhill counties and one each in Baker, Harney and Klamath counties.
Three deaths were recorded around the state Saturday: those of a 73-year-old Douglas County woman, an 80-year-old Polk County man and a 96-year-old Lane County woman. They each had underlying health conditions that contributed to their deaths, according to state health officials.
There were 11 COVID-positive patients in Southern Oregon hospitals as of Friday, according to state data. Over the past week, the number of hospitalizations ranged between nine and 13 patients.
The record for the region is 69 patients recorded Jan. 2.
