Jackson County reports 148th COVID-19 death
Jackson County on Wednesday reported its 148th COVID-19-related death since the pandemic began.
An 88-year-old man with underlying health conditions tested positive June 26 and died June 29 at Providence Medford Medical Center, officials reported.
Oregon Health Authority reported three other deaths across the state — in Jefferson, Lane and Malheur counties. There have been 2,774 COVID-19-related deaths across Oregon.
Jackson County reported 16 more coronavirus cases Wednesday, bringing its total to 11,641 since the start of the pandemic. Josephine County reported five new cases, bringing its caseload to 3,660.
Across Oregon, 196 new COVID-19 cases were reported Wednesday, with the statewide total reaching 208,637.
