506 COVID-19 cases reported over the weekend
The Oregon Health Authority reported 506 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, with 254 reported Friday, 172 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday.
Of the new cases, 36 were reported in Jackson County and 30 were from Josephine County.
The OHA on Monday reported five new COVID-19-related deaths, four of which occurred in 2020 and were recently confirmed to have been COVID-19 related after review by the Center of Disease Control and Prevention.
Across the state, there were 109 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, two fewer than Sunday. There were three fewer intensive care unit patients, with 29 statewide.
