COVID-19 outbreak report shows steady cases in schools

Just before the start of the Thanksgiving break, the Oregon Health Authority released its weekly coronavirus outbreak report, showing that schools throughout the Rogue Valley still have the most cases among the entities reported.

The weekly report, a sample of the previous week ending Sunday, Nov. 21, shows all active and recent COVID-19 outbreaks at child care facilities, senior living and similar places, workplaces and schools in all counties throughout the state.

In each report, The Mail Tribune looks at the outbreaks pertaining to Jackson and Josephine counties.

In Jackson County, there was an active outbreak at only one care facility, Linda Vista Nursing & Rehab Center (five cases, zero deaths). Josephine County saw no active outbreaks for the week reported in that category.

For workplaces in Jackson County, there was only one active outbreak — at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, with 162 cases. Meanwhile, Josephine County saw no active outbreaks for the week reported in that category.
