Kid, adult COVID-19 shots coming to rural Jackson County

Two free COVID-19 vaccination clinics for kids and adults are coming to northern Jackson County, making it easier for rural residents to get shots.

Church of the Nazarene, 471 Mill Creek Drive, Prospect, will host a vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10. Kid-sized doses for children age 5-11 will be available, along with shots for people 12 and older. Appointments aren’t necessary.

In Butte Falls, The Landing, at 801 Laurel Ave., will have a free shot clinic for kids age 5-11 and people 12 and older from 2-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10. Appointments aren’t needed.

Pharmacies in some parts of rural Jackson County, including Rogue River Pharmacy in the town of Rogue River and Shady Cove Pharmacy, are continuing to offer COVID-19 shots. Check with individual pharmacies about hours and whether they have kid-sized doses and adult doses.

COVID-19 vaccinations aren’t yet approved for children 4 and younger.
