Man faces sex abuse charges
A Medford man faces a slew of sexual-abuse charges linked to allegations that he abused his co-workers at a small store in Phoenix.
Phoenix police arrested Gabriel Solis-Perez, 18, of the 100 block of Fern Valley Road, Medford, and recommended 23 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and three counts of harassment against him.
Investigators allege that Solis-Perez abused a teenage girl and two adult women he worked with over four months, Phoenix police Lt. Kevin Myers said. One victim came forward in late March and Solis-Perez was arrested on two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and a harassment charge, Myers said.
Other victims contacted investigators later and police added the other charges Tuesday after interviewing Solis-Perez again. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Police didn't disclose the name of the business, which cooperated with the investigation, to help protect the identities of the victims.
The Jackson County District Attorney's office filed six counts of third-degree sexual abuse against Solis-Perez. He entered not-guilty pleas to all charges at his arraignment in Jackson County Circuit Court Wednesday. He was released from jail after his court appearance.
