Convicted felon sought for parole violation
This week, the Medford Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon need your help in locating convicted felon and wanted subject William Lewis Leonard, 38.
In August 1996, Leonard was convicted of the charge of third-degree rape and sentenced to five years' probation. In February 1996, Leonard was convicted of felon in possession of a firearm and for violating the terms of his probation. At that time, he was sentenced to 12 months in the Oregon State Penitentiary and required to register as a sex offender.
As a registered sex offender, Leonard is required by law to report his new address within 10 days of moving and within 10 days of his birthday. The last time Lewis registered was Sept. 13 with a Phoenix address.
Because Leonard has violated the terms of his parole and his whereabouts are unknown, a no-bail felony warrant held by the Oregon State Parole Board has been issued.
Leonard is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a burn scar on his chest, the word "Tyresha" tattooed on his left forearm and two piercings in his left ear. Leonard may be using the aliases of William Jones or Robert Hill. The picture shown here, taken Aug. 29, is the most recent photo available.
If you have seen William Lewis Leonard, or have information of his whereabouts, please contact Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 800-3-DETECT (800-333-8328). This Crime Stopper's case number is MT-361.
