Felony arrests

  • Theft — Jonathan James Gottschalk, 19, of the first block of Elm Street, Medford. Central Point police Thursday arrested Gottschalk on charges of first-degree theft, second-degree theft and three counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $21,000 bail.
  • Theft — Jose Manuel Jimenez, 18, of the first block of Elm Street, Medford. Central Point police Thursday arrested Jimenez on charges of first-degree theft, second-degree theft and three counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail on $21,000 bail.
  • Robbery — Edward Jay Silva, 30, no known address. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy Thursday arrested Silva on three counts of second-degree robbery. He was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Identity theft —Christine Marie Walker, 40, of the 4200 block of Quartz Creek Road, Merlin. Medford police Thursday arrested Walker on charges of identity theft and two counts of credit card fraud. She was lodged in jail on $20,000 bail.

  • Theft — 2900 block of State Street, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which 30 CDs and Sony speakers were stolen. The loss was valued at $860.
  • Theft — 3700 block of Windgate Street, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which lumber was stolen. The loss was valued at $800.
  • Vehicle theft — 3000 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which a GMC pick-up valued at $50,000 was stolen.
  • Vehicle theft — 1500 block of Sage Road, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which a Honda all-terrain vehicle, an engine and a transmission were stolen from Total Forestry, Inc. The loss was valued at $8,400.
