Police are looking for bank robber's getaway rig
Medford police are asking for help finding a suspicious vehicle seen in the parking lot of a Fred Meyer store on Center Drive Monday around the time a Washington Mutual branch inside was robbed.
Medford police Lt. Tim Doney said investigators are looking for an early to mid-1990s forest green Ford Explorer that could be linked to the crime.
At about 4:30 p.m. Monday, a robber presented a demand note to a teller after exchanging pleasantries with other customers in line, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was described as a white man, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall with a medium to heavy build. He had short brown hair, a moustache and was last seen wearing sunglasses, a quarter-zip blue fleece jacket, gray T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
He appeared to be in his mid-30s to 40s and witnesses said his breath smelled of alcohol.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Medford Police Department at 770-4784.
