Felony arrests

  • Assault — Juan Jose Ruvalcaba-Miranda, 36, of the 3400 block of Hillcrest Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Ruvalcaba-Miranda late Saturday on charges of second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, first-degree criminal mischief, endangering and third-degree assault. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $50,000 bail.
  • Assault — Edward Louis Reed Jr., 53, of the the 2500 block of Old Highway 99 South, Ashland. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Reed late Saturday on charges of two counts of fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Shawn Steven Hix, 28, of the 500 block of S. Oakdale Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Hix late Saturday on a charge of methamphetamine possession and a parole violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Vehicle theft — Willie Keith Lewis, 24, of Eugene. Oregon State Police arrested Lewis late Saturday on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failure to appear for previous charges. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $100,000 bail.
  • Assault, weapons — Julie Marie Names, 31, of the 2300 block of E. Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Names late Saturday on two counts of fourth-degree assault, two counts of unlawful use of a stun gun, two counts of harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on bail.
  • Weapons — Steven Richard Nagel, 21, of an unknown address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Nagel early Sunday on charges of being a felon in possession of a weapon, concealing possession of a gun, proving false information, second-degree disorderly conduct and a parole violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Interfering with police — Bradley Michael Rizzo, 29, of the 1400 block of Crown Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Rizzo early Sunday on charges of interfering with police, second-degree disorderly conduct and a parole violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Burglary — Ryan Shay Gilbert, 19, of the 1100 block of Glengrove Ave., Central Point. Central Point police arrested Gilbert early Monday on charges of first-degree theft, first-degree burglary, felon in possession of a weapon, attempted unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $25,000 bail.
  • Theft — Gregory Paul Costa, 18, of the 8000 block of E. Antelope Road, Eagle Point. Central Point police arrested Costa early Monday on a charge of first-degree theft. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Assault — Scott Michael Asberry, 50, of Grants Pass. Asberry appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Monday to hear charges of two counts of third-degree assault and driving under the influence of alcohol. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Theft, felon weapon — Sandra Jean McLaughlin, 38, of the 800 block of W. 11th St., Medford. Central Point police arrested McLaughlin Monday on charges of felon in possession of a weapon and first-degree theft. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $10,000 bail.
  • Theft — Kyle Dylan Grant, 18, of the 100 block of Highland Drive, Medford. Ashland police arrrested Grant Monday on charges of second-degree theft, first-degree theft, conspiracy to commit theft and failure to appear on a previous charge. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $17,000 bail.
  • Theft — Phillip Duarte, 20, of the 800 block of E. 9th St., Medford. Ashland police arrested Duarte Monday on charges of second-degree theft, first-degree theft, conspiracy to commit theft and failure to appear on a previous charge. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $13,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Wade Laurence Jordan, 19, of an unknown address. Medford police arrested Jordan Sunday on charges of possession of a synthetic drug and theft of lost or mislaid property. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
