Felony arrests

  • Drugs — James Ellis Kavasch, 57, of the 500 block of Marie Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies on Friday arrested Kavasch on a single charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Michael Costilla-Hernandez, 24, of the 100 block of De Hague Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies on Friday arrested Costilla-Hernandez on a single charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Raymond Edward Chance, 27, of Longview, Wash. Medford police on Friday arrested Chance on a single charge each of possession, manufacturing and distributing marijuana. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and held on $125,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Kevin Dean Christopher, 29, no address listed. Medford police on Friday arrested Christopher on a single charge each of possession, manufacturing and distributing marijuana. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and held on $75,000 bail.
  • Drugs — John Calvert Meyer, 18, of the 1200 block of West Main Street, Medford. Medford police on Friday arrested Meyer on a charge of possession of illegal drugs. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and held without bail.
  • Drugs — Scott Randle Miller, 47, of the 2200 block of Highway 99, Ashland. Talent police on Friday arrested Miller on a single charge each of possession of methamphetamine and second-degree theft.
  • Theft — Monyah Marie Guirma, 28, of the 500 block of North Main Street, Ashland. Ashland police on Friday arrested Guirma on charges of first-degree theft, second-degree theft and credit-card theft. She was also charged with resisting arrest and harassment. Guirma was taken to the Jackson County Jail and held on $34,000 bail.
  • Burglary — Daniel Lee Munoz, 24, of the 1400 block of Whitman Avenue, Medford. Medford police on Friday arrested Munoz on a single charge of second-degree burglary and two counts of third-degree theft. Miller was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Assault — Julie Lynn Clay, 44, of the 100 block of Kelso Street, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police on Friday arrested Clay on a single count of felony fourth-degree assault. She was also charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment. Clay was taken to the Jackson County Jail and released on her own recognizance.
  • Sex Abuse — Michael Shannon Borth, 42, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies on Friday arrested Borth on a single count of first-degree sex abuse. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and released on her own recognizance.
