Felony arrests

  • Drugs — Raymond Michael LaPlante, 36, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested LaPlante on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Assault — Jesse Ray Montag, 24, of the 200 block of Beatty Street, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Montag on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, interfering with a police report and harassment. He was lodged in jail and released after posting bail.
  • Assault — Jennifer Sue Bethany-Tucker, 27, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Bethany-Tucker on charges of third-degree assault and harassment. She was lodged in jail on $28,000 bail.
  • Drugs, tampering — Vickie Lynn Gorney, 48, of the 1200 block of Marilee Street, Central Point. Gorney appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with identity theft and tampering with drug records. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance.
  • Weapon — Carl Grant Kirkpatrick, 55, of the 3700 block of Falcon Street, White City. Kirkpatrick appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Tyson Lee Ceideburg, 18, of the 6300 block of South Holly Street, Medford. Ceideburg appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of heroin. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Jared Ray Miller, 18, of the 1200 block of Douglas Avenue, Medford. Miller appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of heroin. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Patricia Gayle Parsons, 52, of the 1400 block of Elanie Way, Medford. Parsons appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with manufacture, possession and distribution of marijuana. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Riley Patrick Wray, 18, of the 2000 block of Terrel Drive, Medford. Wray appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of heroin. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Michael Alexander Schmidt, 18, of the 100 block of North Pacific Highway, Talent. Schmidt appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of synthetic drugs. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs, identity theft — Fabian Villalobos-Cantu, 27, of the 2800 block of Woodburn. An Oregon State Police trooper Wednesday arrested Villalobos-Cantu on charges of manufacture, possession and distribution of methamphetamine and identity theft. He was lodged in jail on more than $1 million bail.
  • Drugs, identity theft — Octavio Panigua, 32, of Woodburn. An OSP trooper Wednesday arrested Panigua on charges of manufacture, possession and distribution of methamphetamine and identity theft. In addition, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents charged him with suspicion of being in the country illegally. He was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Theft — David Allen Steensland, 22, of Myrtle Creek. Steensland appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Cynthia Joy Starnold, 47, of Eagle Point. Starnold appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and being a felon on possession of a weapon. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Staci Lynn Grace, 31, of the 4100 block of Payne Road, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy Wednesday arrested Grace on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation. She was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Assault — Eugene Andrew Gibson, 33, of the 500 block of Whitman Place, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Gibson on charges of third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail on $29,000 bail.
  • Warrant — John Richard Lohman, 42, of the 7200 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass. An OSP trooper Wednesday arrested Lohman on warrants charging him with first-degree sodomy, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and six counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in jail without bail.

  • Theft — 800 block of Ellendale Drive, Medford. Medford police Tuesday took a report in which a Dell laptop computer, battery charger and wireless card were stolen. The loss was valued at $1,200.
  • Vandalism — 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Medford. Medford police Tuesday took a report in which the top of a convertible was cut. The damage was valued at $1,000.
  • Vandalism — 1500 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police Tuesday took a report in which a window was broken and a dent was put in a car. The damage was valued at $2,000.
  • Theft — 500 block of West Sixth Street, Medford. Medford police Tuesday took a report in which a watch valued at $2,500 was stolen.
  • Theft — 2200 block of Sunburst Court, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which a laptop computer valued at $800 was stolen.
