Search continues for missing Medford man
Medford police are asking for help finding a 37-year-old man who was last seen in late July.
Joseph Del Mundo was reported missing Aug. 12 by his sister in Maryland, Medford police Detective Sgt. Mike Budreau said. She usually talks to Mundo regularly online, but hadn't heard from him in weeks when she reported her concerns.
Mundo lives in the 600 block of South Columbus Avenue with several roommates, Budreau said. He was last seen walking from the home at about 11 p.m. on July 30.
Since then he hasn't returned to get any personal belongings or his vehicle. He also hasn't been at work at CDS Publishing, where he works in graphic design, police said.
Investigators initially had some leads to follow up on places Mundo might be or people he might be with, but none of those panned out, Budreau said. Police note that Mundo might be voluntarily absent and just not want to talk to them, but investigators and his family are concerned about where he is.
Mundo is described as 6-feet, 1-inch tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
Police ask anyone with information on Mundo's location to call Detective Stephanie Smith at 541-774-2241.
