Sheriff's department seeks missing 90-year-old man

A 90-year-old White City man failed to return from a grocery-shopping trip Monday, prompting an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Johnnie Irvin Sutton left his White City home at around 1:30 p.m. Monday to go to Food 4 Less in Medford, sheriff's department spokeswoman Andrea Carlson said.

He was driving his silver 1989 Crown Victoria with Oregon license plate PTU 318. He never returned home.

Sutton has no serious mental or medical conditions; however, he has been known to lose his way, Carlson said in a news release.

Sutton is described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds. He has blue eyes and white hair. He was last seen wearing a flannel shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information about where he might be is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Department tip line at 541-774-8333.
