Drug squad makes Medford heroin bust
Drug investigators ended a monthlong inquiry into heroin sales with the arrest of one man and the seizure of heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana and more than $1,800 in cash at a west Medford home.
The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team, with the help of Medford police, served a search warrant shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Columbus Street in Medford, a news release reported on Friday.
Police arrested Osvaldo Silva, 27, on charges of possession, delivery and manufacturing of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as an outstanding probation violation warrant and a fugitive warrant out of California. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Friday without bail.
