Felony arrests

Identity theft — Jeffery Randolf Blackwood, 22, of the 300 block of Pippin Circle, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Blackwood on two counts of identity theft, two counts of credit card fraud, two counts of third-degree theft and a parole violation for aggravated identity theft.  He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. 

Drugs — Nathan Thomas Carey, 36, no known address. Medford police Thursday arrested Carey on charges of possession of methamphetamine, attempting to elude police in a vehicle, felon in possession of a weapon, hindering an investigation, reckless driving and on out-of-county warrants for failure to appear in court, delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. 

Theft — Russell Dale Kelton, 42, of the 9500 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. Kelton Thursday made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on four counts of first-degree theft and two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. 

Drugs — Robert Charles Burnside, 54, of the 600 block of North Grape Street, Medford. Medford police Thursday arrested burnside on charges of possession of methamphetamine and failure to appear on a charge of third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail on $13,000 bail. 

Theft — Shawn Thomas Long Jr., 19, of the 21600 block of Highway 62, Shady Cove. Long Thursday made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree theft and identity theft. He was lodged in jail without bail. 

Theft — Rodney Lee Nelson, 33, of Grant Pass. Nelson on Thursday made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on six counts of first-degree theft and three counts of third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail on $70,000 bail. 

Crime reports

Vandalism — 1300 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday of vandalism to a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,000. 

Theft — 2400 block of Windermere Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 8:21 a.m. Thursday of a theft of miscellaneous clothes, cosmetics, a camera, first-aid kit, headphones and compact discs. The loss was valued at $1,151.
