Felony arrests

Drugs — Kayla Renee Sarmento, 26, of Grants Pass. Medford police Wednesday arrested Sarmento on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and an out-of-county warrant for a probation violation for possession of heroin. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. 

Drugs — Brian Edward Mendolia, 36, of the 200 block of Surrey Drive, Jacksonville. Medford police Wednesday arrested Mendolia on charges of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon. He was lodged in the jail on $20,000 bail.

Forgery — Jesse Dean Forthun, 26, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Forthun on charges of second-degree forgery, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and three counts of violation of a restraining order. He was lodged in the jail on $35,000 bail.

Vehicle theft — Allen Charles Bray, 34, of Vancouver, Wash. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Wednesday arrested bray on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. 

Drugs, suspended driving — Jayce R. Coulter, 28, no known address. Central Point police Wednesday arrested Coulter on charges of  possession of methamphetamine and felony driving while suspended. He was lodged in the jail on $35,000 bail.

Coercion — Rhys Henry Fong, 37, of the 400 block of Charlotte Ann Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Wednesday arrested Fong on charges of coercion, harassment and driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. 

Drugs — Gharrett Paul Parker, 30, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Wednesday arrested Parker on warrants charging him with delivery of heroin within 1000 feet of a school, manufacture of heroin within 1000 feet of a school, possession of heroin, felon in possession of a weapon and altering a firearm's identification. He was lodged in the jail without bail on a felony hold.

Crime reports

Theft — 1600 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:33 a.m. Tuesday of a theft during which clothing, including Jeffrey Campbell sandals and a charm bracelet, was taken. The loss was valued at $1,240.

Theft — 1900 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report at 12:48 p.m. Tuesday of a theft during which a bicycle of unknown make was taken. The loss was valued at $1,000.
