OSP finds 68 pounds of marijuana in car during traffic stop
A Saturday traffic stop on Interstate 5 led to the discovery of 68 pounds of marijuana and the arrests of two Washington men.
Oregon State Police reported Michael Edward Green, 46, and Shaun Booth, 41, both of Buckley, Wash., were arrested on charges of delivery of marijuana and possession of psilocybin mushrooms. They were booked in the Jackson County Jail on those charges but are no longer listed there, jail records show.
The traffic stop happened at 12:53 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. An OSP trooper pulled over a rented 2014 Hyundai Sonata with California plates for a speeding violation on I-5 near milepost 29.
During a search of the vehicle, the trooper discovered the marijuana concealed inside the vehicle's trunk, along with 10 grams of the mushrooms. The estimated value of the seized marijuana is $125,000.
