About $2,500 worth of tools stolen from home under construction

Thieves broke into a Springbrook Road home under renovation, making off with $2,500 worth of tools and causing $6,000 in damage, Medford police said.

The burglary was reported at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in the street's 3000 block. The vacant home had been undergoing some repairs and renovations, and the owner returned to the home after being away from it about a week, Medford police reported.

An investigation so far shows suspects pried open the home's rear sliding door, causing about $6,000 in damage to the frame. Three drills, an angle drill, a reciprocating saw, circular saw and RotoSaw were reported stolen.

Anyone with information on the stolen tools is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-850-0580 or Medford police at 541-770-4784.
