Car crashes into Medford yard New Year's Eve
A car cruising down Roberts Road at about 60 mph New Year's Eve caught air, then crashed into a yard and struck a large tree before the driver and passenger fled on foot, Medford police said.
Medford police reported the crash happened at 11:05 p.m. in the 2500 block of Roberts Road. The car, a 2004 Saab sedan, crashed, damaging a fence, siding on a home, a window, and a door frame. There were liquor bottles at the crash site, leading police to think the crash was likely alcohol-related.
Police caught up with the passenger from the Saab, but have been unable to locate the driver. They are declining to release the driver's identity until that person is caught and charged.
No one appears to have been injured in the crash, police said.
