Felony arrests

Theft, mistreatment — Julie Ann Crafts, 45, 3900 block of South Stage Road, Medford. Crafts Thursday made her first appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree criminal mistreatment and first-degree theft. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released on her own recognizance.

Vehicle theft — Brice William Duke, 50, of Maple Falls, Wash. Oregon State Police Thursday arrested Duke on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unlawful entry to a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the jail on $40,000 bail.

Drugs — Richard Moore Smith III, 32, no known address. Medford police Thursday arrested Smith on warrants charging possession of methamphetamine, delivery of heroin, manufacture of heroin, two probation violations for third-degree assault and failure to appear on three counts of felony driving while suspended, two counts of attempt to elude by foot, resisting arrest, third-degree criminal mischief, delivery of methamphetamine, possession methamphetamine, delivery of heroin and possession of heroin. He was lodged in the jail on $100,000 bail.

Sex offender — Michael Joseph Taylor, 30, no known address. Phoenix police Thursday arrested Taylor on charges of failure to register his address as a sex offender and a parole violation for attempted first-degree sex abuse. He was lodged in the jail without bail.

Drugs — Justin Allen Fisher, 27, of the 300 block of Sutter Avenue, Medford. Medford police Thursday arrested Fisher on a warrant charging possession of methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Crime reports

Burglary — 100 block of North Fir Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 2:34 p.m. Wednesday of a burglary to a business during which a pair of LG 3D TV glasses, a Nikon Monarch rifle scope, a Vortex rifle scope, Vortex binoculars, a Traxxas Revo remote control car, a Tippman paintball gun, a Bushnell red dot sight and Steiner binoculars were taken. The loss was valued at $3,249.
