Felony arrests

Criminal mischief — John Charles Chapman, 53, of the 300 block of Orchard Street, Ashland. Chapman Thursday made his first appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.

Rape — Maitland Kahinaokala Kamaunu, 19, of the 100 block of South Second Street, Talent. Kamaunu Thursday made his first appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy, delivery of marijuana to a minor, reckless driving and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Arthur Patrick Schneider, 53, of the 1900 block of Mohawk Street, Ashland. Schneider Thursday made his first appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Identity theft — Lesley Ann Poll, 39, of the 3600 block of Catalpa Avenue, White City. Poll Thursday made her first appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on three counts of identity theft, four counts of first-degree forgery, one count of first-degree possession of a forged instrument and four counts of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Jeffrey Gordon Cole, 22, of the 2300 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police Thursday arrested Cole on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Jordan Marcus Orcutt, 26, no known address. Medford police Thursday arrested Orcutt on charges of possession of methamphetamine, contempt and third-degree theft. He was lodged in the jail.

Drugs — Christopher James Smith, 27, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Thursday arrested Smith on warrants charging possession of heroin, third-degree theft and unlawful entry to a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the jail without bail.

Theft — William Francis DeWeese, 36, of the 2600 block of Falcon Street, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Thursday arrested DeWeese on warrants charging seven counts of first-degree theft and felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged in the jail on $100,000 bail.

Robbery — Tyreese Lasaun Key, 18, no known address. Medford police Thursday arrested Key on charges of third-degree robbery, third-degree theft, harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the jail on $28,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 2700 block of Bentley Court, Medford. Medford police took a report at 7:30 a.m. Thursday of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle during which two pairs of Oakley sunglasses, a Bluetooth headset, an iPhone Lightning cable, an iPod car charger, a glasses case, personal documents and three SIM cards were taken. The loss was valued at $1,333.
