Felony arrests

Assault — Marcus Eugene Helms, 47, of the 2300 block of Finley Lane, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Helms on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail on $9,000 bail.

Drugs — Connor James Holland, 23, of the first block of South Buchanan Avenue, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police Monday arrested Holland on charges of possession of methamphetamine, first-degree trespass and violating the conditions of his parole from a previous drug conviction. was lodged Monday in jail without bail.

Vehicle theft — Marlena Virginia Hines, 30, of the 100 block of Sawyer Road, Shady Cove. Oregon State Police troopers Monday arrested Hines on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, furnishing false information to police and for failing to appear on previous drug and theft charges. She was lodged Monday in jail and released on her own recognizance.

Vehicle theft — David Allen Thompson, 47, of North Highland, Calif. Oregon State Police troopers Monday arrested Thompson on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged Monday in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Cassandra Ellen Simpson, 29, of the first block of Meyers Court, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Simpson on charges of possession of heroin, contempt and for violating the conditions of her probation on a previous drug conviction. She was lodged Monday in jail without bail.

Theft — Vance Phuc Nguyen, 40, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Nguyen on a charge of first-degree theft and for violating the conditions of his parole on a past robbery conviction. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail.

Drugs — Patrick Ryan Preston, 43, 1100 block of Morrow Road, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Preston on charges of possession of methamphetamine, second-degree trespassing and for violating the conditions of his probation on a previous drug conviction. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail.

Drunken driving — Kelly Rae Wik, 57, of Portland. Wik made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of felony driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was booked Monday in jail and released.

Theft — Gerald Ross Mersereau, 30, of the 1800 block of Barbur Street, White City. Talent police Monday arrested Mersereau on charges of identity theft and first-degree theft. He was lodged Monday in jail on $10,000 bail.

Drugs — Mark Alan Detamore, 51, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Detamore on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and third-degree theft. was lodged Monday in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Jacob Charles Rouse, 38, no known address. Rouse made his initial appearance in court Monday on a charge of possession of heroin. He was booked Monday in jail and released.

Crime reports

Theft — 1500 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report at 6:43 a.m. Sunday of the theft of two bicycles and vandalism to a bike rack and lock. The loss was valued at $2,400.

Theft — 3100 block of Almeda Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:26 a.m. Sunday of the theft of a DVD/CD player from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $2,000.
