Felony arrests

Forgery — Kristina Marie Santillanez, 28, of the 7100 block of Serenity Drive, Sacramento, Calif. Medford police arrested Santillanez Thursday on two felony charges of forgery in the first degree, a felony charge of possession of a forgery device and for failure to appear on a previous third-degree theft warrant. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released due to capacity.

Theft — Joseph Duke Layman, 49, of the 5100 block of Rogue River Highway, Gold Hill. Medfrod police arrested Layman Thursday on a felony charge of first-degree theft, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft and for three failure to appear warrants for misdemeanor charges of driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Thomas Bradley Holmes, 33, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Holmes on felony charges of methamphetamine possession and supplying contraband. He was lodged in jail Thursday without bail.

Sex Offender — Zachary Brice May, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested May Thursday on a felony charge of failure to register as a sex offender and for parole violation on a previous charge of felony driving while suspended. He was lodged in jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — Brandon Edward Jenkins, 33, of the 100 block of Oak Grove Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Jenkins Thursday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on warrants for failure to appear on previous charges of methamphetamine possession and distribution. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $60,000 bail.

Drugs — David Michael Day, 34, of the 2700 block of Brae Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Day Friday on a felony charge of hydrocodone possession, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, second-degree trespassing, third-degree criminal mischief and violation of a no-contact order. He was lodged in jail Friday on $24,000 bail.

Drugs — Amanda Lynn Sweet, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested Sweet Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and for parole violation on a previous methamphetamine case. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle — Jeremy Lee Spears, 31, of the 900 block of Sunset Way, Sunny Valley. Medford police arrested Spears Friday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, methamphetamine possession, first-degree aggravated theft and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a misdemeanor charge of attempting to elude police on foot and for an out of county warrant charging parole violation on a previous unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — James Brian Parker, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Parker on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft and for failure to appear on a a previous charge of first-degree trespassing. He was booked in jail Friday.

Sex Offender — Nathan Ray Jackson, 40, no known address. Ashland police arrested Jackson Friday on a felony charge of failure to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail Friday on $15,000 bail.

Assault — Dakota James Haley, 19, of the 1200 block of Morrow Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Haley Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment, strangulation and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail Friday on $19,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle at 1:35 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Vancouver Avenue. Items reported stolen included two Spiegel Relaskop tree-measuring forestry devices, two Garmin GPS receivers, a 75-foot Spencer logging tape, rain gear including black pants and black coat, and a GPS SD card. The vehicle's hatch was also reported damaged. The loss and damage were valued at $9,330.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of West Main Street. Two Stihl backpack-style gas leaf blowers and a Stihl gas weed eater were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,400.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle at 10:44 p.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of South Pacific Highway. Items reported stolen included a laptop computer, a Verizon WiFi hotspot device and a tan American Paving bag. The loss was valued at $2,150.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle at 8:39 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of North Phoenix Road. Items reported stolen included a heavy duty scanning tool tablet and five other vehicle diagnostic scanning devices and Milwaukee 18-volt impact wrenches. The loss was valued at $20,660.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle at 10:24 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Ridge Way. Items reported stolen included a camera, a black snowboard, brown and black sunglasses, a silver Apple iPod, a pink leather and cream jacket with leopard-print lining, baby clothes including two pairs of pants, five shirts and a vest from Macy's. The vehicle's small back window was reported damaged. The loss and damaged to the vehicle was valued at $1,715.
