Felony arrests

Sex Offender — Wesley Kevin Hoseclaw, 51, no known address. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies arrested Hoseclaw Tuesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender and a misdemeanor charge of first-degree trespassing. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday on $35,000 bail.

Drugs — James Robert Bennett, 35, no known address. Medford police arrested Bennett Wednesday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and a misdemeanor charge of failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Jason William Works, 32, of the 900 block of West Linn Road, Eagle Point. On Wednesday, Works made his initial court appearance on felony charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and driving under the influence of intoxicants, and on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Angela Dianne Bacon, 31, of the 11400 block of Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. On Wednesday, Bacon made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree forgery. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Megan Lea Holmes, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Holmes Wednesday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and for a parole violation on a previous meth-possession charge. She was lodged in jail Wednesday without bail.

Sex Abuse — Misty Star Garcia, 39, of the 600 block of Northwood Drive, Medford. Central Point police arrested Garcia Wednesday on three felony charges of first-degree sexual abuse and a felony charge of tampering with a witness. She was lodged in jail Wednesday on more than $3 million bail.

Identity Theft — Brianna Marie Jones, 22, of the 2800 block of Kerrisdale Ridge Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Jones Wednesday on a felony charge of identity theft, misdemeanor charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree theft and for violating her parole on a previous identity theft conviction. She was lodged in jail Wednesday without bail.

Robbery — Michael Thomas Barton, 52, of the 600 block of Plum Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Barton Wednesday on two felony charges of first-degree robbery. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $2 million bail.

Crime reports

Theft — Medford police took a report of a shoplift at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of North Riverside Avenue. Twenty-six pairs of sunglasses were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $9,100.

Theft — Medford police took a report of a residential burglary at 7:57 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Garfield Street. Items reported stolen included an Xbox One video game console, "Skyrim" game disc, "Forza" game disc, "Minecraft" game disc, "Call of Duty" game disc and "Rayman" game disc, Beats headphones and a white iPad with red case. The loss was valued at $1,500.

Theft — Medford police took a report of a burglary to a business at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Stewart Avenue. Items reported stolen included hand tools numbering in the hundreds, diagnostic equipment, a medieval sword with red hilt in case, a ninja sword with green handle and green sheath and a clear glass sword with pearl accents on hilt. Two small garage windows were reportedly broken out. The loss and damage was valued at $26,400.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:04 a.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of South Pacific Highway. Items reported stolen included three laptop computers, a ladies Rolex watch with gold band, guns, a camouflage quiver with magnet and 12 arrows, a light tan cooler and dark brown leather satchel. The loss was valued at $4,000.
