Felony arrests

Drugs — Andrew Jordan Gilman, 25, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Gilman Thursday on additional felony charges of heroin possession and supplying contraband. Gilman was originally arrested Wednesday for violating his parole on a previous heroin-distribution conviction. He remained in the Jackson County Jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — Vincent Russell Jacobo, 32, of the 2000 block of Grandview Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Jacobo Thursday on additional felony charges of heroin and methamphetamine possession. Jacobo was originally arrested Wednesday for violating his parole on a previous conviction for attempting to elude police in a vehicle. He remained in the jail Thursday without bail.

Theft — Nicholas Ben Wimberly, 36, no known address. Medford police arrested Wimberly Wednesday on a felony charge of first-degree theft, a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft and for failing to appear on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was booked in jail and released because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Michael Anthony Schalz-Hall, 22, no known address. Medford police arrested Schalz-Hall on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and warrants charging failure to appear on misdemeanor charges of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, attempted second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Andrew Wade Harper, 41, of the 2400 block of Somerset Place, Medford. On Thursday, Harper made his initial court appearance on seven felony counts of identity theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Sariah Hope Spencer, 29, of the 500 block of East WIllow Haven Cove, Draper, Utah. On Thursday, Spencer made her initial court appearance on felony charges of manufacturing and distributing marijuana, and a felony charge of possessing greater than 4 ounces of marijuana. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Michael Scott Prows, 28, of the 500 block of Willow Haven Cove, Draper, Utah. On Thursday, Prows made his initial court appearance on felony charges of manufacturing and distributing marijuana, a felony charge of possessing greater than 4 ounces of marijuana, and out-of-county warrants charging failure to appear on charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing greater than 4 ounces of marijuana, and for an out-of-county warrant for possessing more than 64 ounces of a cannabinoid concentrate. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Jennifer Michelle Sams, 39, of the 100 block of Onyx Street, Eagle Point. On Thursday, Sams made her initial appearance on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and 10 misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Joseph Duke Layman, 50, no known address. On Thursday, Layman made his initial court appearance on six felony counts of identity theft and for failing to appear on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Michael Jay Szpak, 28, of the 100 block of Vashti Way, Medford. On Thursday, Szpak made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Cassandra Rose Kellison, 22, of the 700 block of King Street, Medford. On Thursday, Kellison made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Cherryl Yvonne Smith, 64, of the 2200 block of Poplar Drive, Medford. On Thursday, Smith made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft and on two misdemeanor counts of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Dakota John Titus, 25, of the first block of Emerick Street, Ashland. On Thursday, Titus made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Crime report

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Cardley Avenue. Items reported stolen included a Glock handgun, CrossBreed holster, Panasonic camera, Apple iPad in black leather case, 10 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, a black wallet containing a driver's license and four credit cards, which have since been cancelled. The loss was valued at $1,429.
