UPDATED: All westbound lanes on Highway 62 back open following crash
The westbound lanes of Highway 62 near Corey Road have reopened following this morning's truck crash.
An overturned commercial truck on Highway 62 just south of Corey Road is blocking the westbound travel lanes that lead into Medford.
"It's going to cause a significant delay," said spokesman Oregon Department of Transportation spokesman Gary Leaming.
Leaming said the truck tipped over just after 6 a.m. The driver reportedly was pulling out of a business on the west side of the highway — near Ferrell Gas and Gutches Lumber at milepost 4.5 — when the vehicle's wheels went into a ditch during a turn attempt. The truck tipped over, blocking southbound lanes. No one was injured.
ODOT officials say commuters from Eagle Point and White City should consider Table Rock or Foothills roads to get into Medford while tow trucks get the vehicle clear. Traffic is currently crawling by in the median.
