AP: Ex-strip club owner jailed after commotion at pot dispensary
GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — A Josephine County man was arrested after he allegedly broke windows and yelled at customers at a building that once housed a strip club he owned.
Sheriff's logs show deputies responded to a disturbance Sunday at the Exit 71 Cannabis Club in Sunny Valley. The logs indicate that 66-year-old Larry Lacey shattered a glass vase over an employee and told customers he was going to shut the dispensary down.
The Grants Pass Daily Courier reports that Lacey was sentenced to prison a few years ago after he was convicted of using a business called the Grants Pass Compassion Center as a front for marijuana sales that far exceeded what's allowed under the state's medical marijuana law.
The manager of the Exit 71 Cannabis Club said Lacey has been showing up every Sunday, and every Sunday they call police. He says this is the first time they responded.
