Felony arrests

Forgery — Scott Anthony Bessey, 45, of the 600 block of Edwina Avenue, Central Point. Medford police arrested Bessey Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree forgery and methamphetamine possession, two misdemeanor counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and on detainers for violating his probation on previous charges of second-degree assault and tampering with a witness. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail. 

Drugs — Quinton James Padilla, 26, of the 4200 block of Dark Hollow Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Padilla Tuesday on felony charges of heroin and methamphetamine possession, a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Dee Dee Marie Conner, 44, of Modesto, Calif. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Conner Tuesday on a felony charges of possessing and distributing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Cassandra Jean Draper, 39, of Modesto, Calif. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Draper Tuesday on felony charges of possessing and distributing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Matthew Scott Plummer, 27, of Modesto, Calif. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Plummer Tuesday on felony charges of possessing and distributing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Assault — George Daniel Stevens, 58, of the 200 block of North Ivy Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Stevens on a felony charge of fourth-degree domestic violence assault, misdemeanor charges fourth-degree domestic violence assault, strangulation and harassment. He was lodged in jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Aaron Dale Eaton, 39, no known address. Medford police arrested Eaton Wednesday on felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a previous first-degree theft conviction.

Drugs — John David Glandon, 43, of the 5000 block of Whitmore Avenue, Talent. Medford police arrested Glandon Wednesday on felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Christopher Brennan Nelson, 31, of the 700 block of Park Street, Ashland. Talent police arrested Nelson Wednesday on a felony charge of heroin possession, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of heroin possession, methamphetamine possession, oxycodone possession, recklessly endangering, interfering with police, second- and third-degree theft and a 2014 charge of marijuana possession. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday because of overcorwding.

Forgery — Abigail Marie Barraza, 35, of the 100 block of Vincent Avenue, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Barraza Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged instrument and methamphetamine possession. She was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on her own recognizance.

Identity Theft — Heidi Leigh Urban, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Urban Wednesday on four felony counts of identity theft and one felony count of first-degree theft, four misdemeanor counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and two misdemeanor counts of second-degree theft. She was lodged in jail Wednesday on $77,500 bail.

Court Appearance — Allen Eugene Radley, 40, of the 100 block of Kenwood Avenue, Medford. On Wednesday, Radley made his initial court appearance on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Elude — Jonathon Andrew Cordova, 29, of the 8100 block of Blackwell Road, Central Point. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Cordova Wednesday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and recklessly endangering, warrants charging failure to appear on previous charges of first-degree child neglect and endangering a minor, and on out-of-county warrants charging first-degree theft, heroin possession, criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $147,500 bail.

Drugs — Robert Bentley Eason, 52, no known address. Medford police arrested Eason Wednesday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and for violating his parole on a previous coercion conviction. He was lodged in jail Wednesday without bail.

Crime reports

Vandalism — Medford police took a report of vandalism at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of South Riverside Avenue. A monument sign in front of a business was reported vandalized. The damage was valued at $7,000.

Theft — Medford police to a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:47 a.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Far West Avenue. Items reported stolen included Vortex Viper binoculars, Vortex Ranger binoculars and Browning Recon Force camera security boxes and a Carson Optics scope. The loss was valued at $1,234.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of North Central Avenue. Items reported stolen included a black Microsoft Surface Pro 2 computer and a black nylon shoulder bag. The loss was valued at $1,290.
