Felony arrests

Drugs — Joshua Dean Lines, 30, of the 800 block of Broad Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Lines Friday on an additional felony charge of methamphetamine possession. Medford police originally arrested Lines June 25 on warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of heroin and methamphetamine possession, first-, second- and third-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree trespassing. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $135,000 bail.

Forgery — Heather Dawn Starnold, 44, of the 200 block of Willamette Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Starnold Thursday on felony counts of first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged instrument and methamphetamine possession. She was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Assault — Marlon Antoine Taliaferro, 40, of the 400 block of North Grape Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Taliaferro Thursday on felony charges of second- and third-degree assault, and on a federal charge. He was lodged in jail Thursday without bail.

Identity Theft — Jeffery Lawrence Hunt, 22, of the 1000 block of North Third Street, Central Point. Medford police arrested Hunt Thursday on felony warrants charging identity theft and first-degree theft, a misdemeanor warrant charging second-degree theft, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of second-degree theft, heroin possession, and providing false information to police. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Ryan James Hiebert, 36, of the 2200 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. Medford police and Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Hiebert Thursday on felony charges of heroin and methamphetamine possession, a misdemeanor charge of violating a restraining order and on a sanction charging probation violation on a previous fourth-degree assault conviction. Jackson County Circuit Court later charged Hiebert with a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and with violating his probation on coercion and fourth-degree assault convictions. He remained lodged in the jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — David Joseph McCullough, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested McCullough Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on a warrant charging failure to appear in court a previous meth possession charge. He was booked in the jail and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Impaired Driving — Gerald Fred Jacobs, Jr., 37, of Reno, Nev. Medford police arrested Jacobs Friday on a felony charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. He was lodged in jail Friday on $25,000 bail.

Burglary — Cera Freier, 19, no known address. Medford police arrested Freier Friday on felony charges of first-degree burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and two felony counts of identity theft, misdemeanor charges of first-degree trespassing, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and providing false information to police. Jackson County Circuit Court later charged Freier with additional felony charges of first- and second-degree burglary, methamphetamine and heroin possession, supplying contraband, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and identity theft, and misdemeanor charges of attempted first-degree theft, second- and third-degree theft. She was lodged in jail Friday on $110,000 bail.

Drugs — Craig Sterling Knight, 35, of the first block of Eighth Street, Jacksonville. Medford police arrested Knight Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Assault — Joshua Del Higgins, 24, of the 11400 block of Blackwell Road, Central Point. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Higgins Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree domestic violence assault. He was lodged in jail Friday on $7,500 bail.

Drugs — Ryan Lee Brashears, 22, of the 3200 block of Blackthorn Way, Medford. Medford police arrested Brashears Friday on felony charges of heroin and methamphetamine possession, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing, warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of meth possession and providing false information to police, and for violating his parole on a previous meth possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Tara Chantelle Pullen, 32, of the 200 block of Berrydale Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Pullen Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing methamphetamine, first-degree possession of a forged instrument, driving while suspended, and on a detainer charging probation violation on a previous meth possession conviction. She was booked in jail Friday and released.

Drugs — Charles Nathaniel Jenkins, 36, no known address. Medford police arrested Jenkins Friday on a felony warrant charging methamphetamine possession. He was lodged in jail Friday on $15,000 bail.

Crime reports

Burglary — Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence  at 1:44 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Hondeleau Lane. Items reported stolen included camping equipment and mountain climbing gear. The loss was valued at $3,000.

Theft — Medford police took a report of stolen silver truck wheels with off-road tires at 2:21 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Enterprise Drive. The loss was valued at $2,000.

Theft — Medford police took a report of a stolen red toolbox filled with new tools at 3:10 p.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of Freedom Way. The loss was valued at $2,000.
