Felony arrests

Drug Possession — James Corey Prince, 42, no known address. Medford police arrested Prince Wednesday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and on a warrant charging failure to appear in court on a previous meth-possession charge. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday and released Thursday because of overcrowding.

Court Appearance — David Matthew Burns, 31, of the 500 block of South Fourth Street, Central Point. On Thursday, Burns made his initial court appearance on felony charges of methamphetamine possession and felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Daniel Collin Horton, 35, of the 1300 block of Talent Avenue, Talent. On Thursday, Horton made his initial court appearance on felony charges of identity theft and methamphetamine possession, misdemeanor charges of second-degree forgery and two misdemeanor counts of third-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Christian Joseph Raymond Fort, 26, of the 400 block of Lewis Road, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Fort Thursday on a felony warrant charging unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on warrants charging failure to appear on previous charges of first- and third-degree theft, first-degree burglary and methamphetamine possession.

Crime reports

Vandalism — Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 8:39 a.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Biddle Road. A dent the size of a golf ball was reported on the vehicle's hood. The damage was valued at $1,500.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft at 1:48 p.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of North Pacific Highway. Items reported stolen included a BMW motorcycle engine, a set of custom wheels and tires for a pickup, an auto paint sprayer and an antique desk from the late 1800s. The loss was valued at $6,500.

Burglary — Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 6:37 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Franquette Street. Items reported stolen included a 50-inch flat-screen TV, two Xbox video game consoles with controllers, movie and game discs, a Nintendo Wii console, double-barrel shotgun and rifle-style BB gun. The loss was valued at $2,150.

Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at at 11:35 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Roberts Road. Items reported stolen included an Abu Garcia fishing pole and a silver 17-inch Vaio laptop computer. The loss was valued at $1,175.
