Felony arrests

Robbery — James Robert Taylor, 20, of the 1200 block of Quail Hollow Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Taylor Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and identity theft, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a previous second-degree sexual abuse conviction. He was lodged in jail Wednesday. The bail amount was unavailable at press time.

Robbery — Steven Marcus King, 27, of the 100 block of Elm Street, Medford. Medford police arrested King Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail Wednesday. The bail amount was unavailable at press time.

Identity Theft — Kacey Allen Smith, 27, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Wednesday on felony charges of identity theft and possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of providing false information to police, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and for violating her parole on a previous first-degree burglary conviction. He was lodged in jail Wednesday. The bail amount was unavailable at press time.

Robbery — Akiah Jazz Magee, 22, of the 300 block of Shadow Lawn Drive, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Magee Thursday on a felony charge of third-degree robbery, misdemeanor charges of second-degree theft, fourth-degree assault and contempt, and on an out-of-county warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Gillian Hiltbold, 37, of the 2000 block of Demaray Drive, Grants Pass. Oregon State Police arrested Hiltbold Thursday on a felony warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Avran Joseph Casillas, 24, of the 600 block of East Archwood Drive, Eagle Point. On Thursday, Casillas made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of third-degree assault. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Court Appearance — Thomas Allen Peterson, 38, of the 1100 block of Glengrove Avenue, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Peterson Thursday on four felony counts of first-degree burglary, three felony counts of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor count of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released on his own recognizance.

Crime reports

Vandalism — 500 block of East Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of graffiti to a bike path and overpass at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday. The damage was valued at $1,000.

Burglary — 400 block of East 12th Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 9:54 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included prescription medication, a flat-screen TV and a JBL Bluetooth speaker. The loss was valued at $1,300.

Theft — 3300 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 7:54 a.m. Thursday. A touchscreen car stereo was reported stolen, and the vehicle's dashboard and front passenger window were damaged. The loss and damage were valued at 3,000.

Vandalism — 1500 block of Nordic Court, Medford. Medford police to a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 8:17 a.m. Thursday. Scratches were reported on the rear passenger door, and the rear passenger window was broken The damage was valued at $1,200.

Vandalism — 700 block of Golf View Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a 4-foot by 4-foot window at 8:20 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $1,000.

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a shoplift at 2:09 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included Nintendo video games and Amiibo game pieces. The loss was valued at $1,500.
