Felony arrests

Coercion — Terrell Akeem Russel, 23, of Marysville, Washington. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Russell Friday on additional felony charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation, a felony warrant charging coercion, and on an additional misdemeanor charge of harassment. Jackson County sheriff's deputies originally arrested Russell Thursday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal mischief. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on $170,000 bail.

Sexual Abuse — Kenneth Leo Baker, 44, of the 1000 block of Park Street, Ashland. Ashland police arrested baker Thursday on felony charges of first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree unlawful sexual penetration, and a misdemeanor charge of third-degree sexual abuse. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on $500,000 bail.

Assault — Jacob Michael Sanford, 20, of the 2100 block of Sunburst Court, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Sanford Thursday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault, and on misdemeanor charges of harassment and fourth-degree assault. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Elude — Derek Whitfield Gargus, 31, of the 500 block of West Hilltop Road, Talent. Talent police arrested Gargus Friday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of attempting to elude police on foot, reckless driving, driving while suspended and a contempt of court charge, and for violating his probation on a previous heroin possession conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Jessica Raquel Johnson, 20, of the 1200 block of West Main Street, Medford. Central Point police arrested Johnson Friday on a felony warrant charging her with possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor contempt of court charge, a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous first-degree trespassing charge and an out-of-county warrant for failing to appear in court on a third-degree theft charge. She was booked in the jail and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — John Ransom McCartney, 56, of the 1200 block of Garfield Street, Medford. Medford police arrested McCartney Friday on felony warrants charging him with possessing methamphetamine and heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Kyle James Ludlow, 28, of the 4000 block of West Main Street. On Friday, Ludlow made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing heroin and a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Daidre Renee Flagg, 33, of Sacramento, California. On Friday, Flagg made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing MDMA. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Burglary — Jacob Bradley Wall, 34, of the 1900 block of Hutchins Circle, Medford. On Friday, Wall made his initial court appearance on felony charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree theft, and on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Adrienne Elaine Strange, 28, of the 600 block of Kings Court, Central Point. Medford police arrested Strange Friday on felony charges of distributing, manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine and possessing heroin. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on more than $1 million bail.

Robbery — David Daniel Donovan, 25, of the 1100 block of Stewart Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Donovan Friday on felony charges of second-degree robbery and possessing heroin, and on an out-of-county warrant for violating his parole on a previous third-degree assault conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Burglary — Katrina Nicole Moore, 28, no known address. Medford police arrested Moore Friday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft and on a sanction for violating her probation on a previous fourth-degree assault conviction. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Destany Marie Reynolds, 24, no known address. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Reynolds Friday on a felony warrant charging her with possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin, possessing a Schedule III controlled substance, second- and third-degree theft and first-degree trespassing. She was lodged in jail Friday on $71,000 bail.

Crime reports 

Vandalism — 300 block of West Sixth Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 1:42 p.m. Thursday. Damage caused by a long key mark to the vehicle was valued at $1,900.

Theft — 600 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of two stolen rings inside alloy displays at 6:18 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $1,200.

Theft — 1700 block of Orchard Home Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:13 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included miscellaneous tools and several 12-gauge extension cords. The loss was valued at $1,341.
