Felony arrests

Drugs — James Brian Vaughn, 34, of the 800 block of Cedar Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Vaughn Tuesday on additional felony charges of distributing and possessing heroin. Medford police originally arrested Vaughn Friday on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous drug-possession charges and for violating his parole on a previous heroin-possession conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Coercion — Thomas Herbert Bell Jr., 60, no known address. Medford police arrested Bell Monday on felony charges of coercion and possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of strangulation, harassment and fourth-degree assault. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Vickie Ann Knight, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Knight Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous second-degree theft charge. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Impaired Driving — Jason Thomas Barrall, 40, of the 1400 block of Ashland Street, Ashland. Ashland police arrested Barrall Tuesday on a felony charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Stephanie Nicole McLeod, 33, of the 8200 block of Kimberly Court, White City. On Tuesday, McLeod made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Sex Offender — Mark Bernell Husk, 55, of the 1600 block of Crown Avenue, Medford. On Tuesday, Husk made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Sex Offender — Lamar Esquire McKinzie, 48, no known address. On Tuesday, McKinzie made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender and on two misdemeanor counts of failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Theft — Chelsie Fay Sanders, 25, of McMinnville. On Tuesday, Sanders made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — William Jack Smail, 37, of the 20000 block of Highway 62, Shady Cove. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Smail Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with manufacturing, distributing and possessing methamphetamine and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering and contempt, and for violating his parole on a previous weapon conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Theft — Tyler John Chicano, 23, no known address. Medford police arrested Chicano Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree theft and possessing heroin. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $17,500 bail.

Drugs — Jeffrey Adam Todd, 28, no known address. Central Point police arrested Todd Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $10,000 bail.

Crime report

Theft — 400 block of Barnes Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included a 14-piece set of golf clubs and an older model Motorola cellphone. The loss was valued at $1,100.
